I have these pajamas that I never really paid any attention to the drawstring.  On it reads, “R U @ Ease?”.  When we consider the word ease, it is to be free from pain, discomfort, or tension.   The word that is synonymous is contentment.   It brings to mind a teaching from Paul as he was teaching about peace.  In Philippians 4:11 it says, “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”  When we can free our minds from worry, from concern, from strife, from gossip, from worrying about finances, our minds can be at ease, or better put, we can have peace of mind.

Instead, let us remember what he taught, to think on things that are lovely, that are pure, of good report and the peace of God will be with us.  And if you feel that there is nothing you have to think about like that….think on Jesus, because there is nothing greater than the love He gave, the sacrifice He made…just for you..just for me.  So my prayer for you as you pray for me, is that you be at ease.  A young fellow that worked as a temp with me used to always say this whenever he was about to leave, and let’s repeat it to ourselves….”Be easy.”

May His peace forever be with you.

His humble servant
Brother Kelvin
