I heard this quote while watching a movie….”If the leaves fall from the branches of a tree, do you still call it a tree?”
There are many things that we go through in life, and during our lifetime there are mistakes made and things that we lose. But the one thing that stays true is that we are who God created us to be. Like Jeremiah, while we were in our mother’s womb God made His plan for our lives. Our gifts, our anointing, our calling, etc. were given to us. But if you make a mistake, are you not the same person? If you have acknowledged your fall, are you not still the same person? If our mistakes and failures change who we were created to be, then most of us would not be doing the work of God if a mistake erased who God created us to be.
Through God, through our repentance, can we be taken back to who God created us to be. Being placed on the potters wheel being molded into the vessel of God He created us to be. Should there be a crack in the vessel, can not the potter make that vessel whole? Yes, He can. He can make you whole, and no matter what you go through, no matter what situations come your way, no matter how great your trials and tribulations are; you still are YOU! So my brother, my sister I say to you, do not be discouraged. As long as you breathe, there is still hope. So continue to press forward toward the mark; go forth and prosper! And remember this; each year the tree will lose its leaves, yet we still call it a tree. But because that tree remained a tree, and continued to stand firm, rooted into it’s foundation…when it’s season shall come, the leaves shall be renewed!
Be blessed,
Brother Kelvin
