In closing, let me share with you a story I heard. Growing up in Miami, I am very familiar with palm trees. I was told that the more wind they go through, the stronger they become and the stronger their hold become with their roots in the foundation. I found this on the website for The Palm Beach Post:
Think about how you can be your brother or sister’s keeper by withstanding? This can be something that you are experiencing with another person. If that person is weaker, it’s up to you to withstand and protect them lest you both fall. Now if a palm tree can survive a hurricane, surely with the armor of God we can withstand the storms of life. Because if He can design a palm tree to be that way and also take care of a lily, He can and will do the same for us. (Matthew 6:28-30 Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?) Remember, in all things take a stand with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and prayer.
