So I make this plea, a call to all my brothers and sisters out there on the battlefield. Both those in ministry and those that are on their way. Jeremiah 1:8 “Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.” Joshua 1:5-9 “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
2007, we can make many resolutions and fancy clichés that rhyme. Building the Kingdom of Heaven in 2007. Forgiven in 2007. Sounds great right? Or let’s turn 2007 into symbols and break down the meaning of each one. Or maybe we can create a prophecy based on the two zeros in the middle. How about the sum of 2007…2 and 7 making 9, the number of years until birth, so, this is the year of birthing!!! (I am writing these off the top of my mind, it is not a response to something I heard or read.) Or, we can just do what God has told us to do. We can teach that Christ is still alive to those who do not know Him. We can reach out to people who need us to do so. We can lay down our intellectual words and sacred “deep” understandings, and teach in a simple way that all understand.
