We now pause for an important Word from our sponsors:
Sometimes when God is testing us, it may seem like what we are going through is going to take us out. It has the appearance that we would never be able to overcome, but God would never leave you like that. He didn’t allow the disciples to perish on the boat, He didn’t let Peter sink while trying to walk on water, so likewise will He not leave you nor forsake you. It’s a purpose to show you where you are, and where you need to go. If I were in school taking a test, and scored a 70, then I know that the answers I got wrong are areas I need to work on, so that the next time I took the test I could score better. Because I got a low score does not mean that all hope is gone, for I know that I will have another chance to score better. There are times when you go through things as a result of what you have done wrong. However, like Job there are times when you will go through things just as a testing of your faith. So that when your faith has been tested, God can get the glory! Just as satan thought Job would curse God and die, only to watch Job praising and understanding God even more. Through that God got the glory, and Job got the double blessings. Your tests and trials are not to curse you, but bless you.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled blog:
They missed it, so Christ got up and calmed the seas. His response to them in verse 45 was, “Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” Their lack of faith caused them to have a different experience, in the same boat, the same storm, and the same sea. Had they not been fearful but full of faith, their experience would have been much different. This is the same with our lives. Where we are, and what our position is determines how we will experience our change of seasons. And sometimes, in the changing of season in different positions we must be prepared to be out of our comfort zones. Me living where I am in the cold is TRULY beyond my comfort zone, but what do I do? Do I go back where I am used to and have a different experience for this Fall season? And when I do that, and God drops a blessing here in ATL, and I miss it because I went back where it was comfortable in MIA? God forbid; I don’t want to be MIA (Missing In Action) when I could be receiving ATL (All The Love) from God! (Like that one? Well, I did, it was good to me.) Let us be in the position that God wants us to be in, so that when our seasons change, we can have the experience that God intended and not the experience that we created for ourselves because we were in the wrong position.
