I worked at a children’s hospital, and I NEVER thought that I would be in a hospital, especially one for children. Children are a soft spot for me, and God has me strong in empathy. So I sometimes don’t do well in hospitals because I feel too much. So I never imagined that I would work in one, but where I work is so rewarding.
I can think that I am having a bad day, then see one of the children ill, but still smiling. If they can smile and THEY are the one’s in the hospital while I walk free, why can’t I smile too? I see so many scenes that cause me to reflect on life. I can tell you many stories, but I’ll share the one from today. I was on the rehab floor making my rounds when I passed one of the play rooms. In there were four children by themselves, playing and talking. All of a different nationality, some boys, some girls. And they were happy as they all sat in their wheelchairs.
