Dear Father, we come to you this evening, humbly before you seeking to give you the honor, the praise, and the glory. We thank you for all you have done for us! We thank you for looking after us even in those times we didn’t think to come to you! We thank you for all the grand things you’ve done, and we thank you for the little things you’ve done too! Let us not take anything in vain, because we know that all things are of you, by you, and for your glory. We present ourselves to you Lord and ask that you empty us. Empty us of our fears, our pains, our sorrows, and our hurts. Empty us of unforgiveness, bitterness, envy, and strife. Empty us of hatred, malice, and anger. Empty us of our past! Empty us of all things that are not of you! And with all the blessings that remain, empty us of those blessings and pour them onto those who are around us.
We bless our enemies today Lord, we bless those we despite use us and persecute us. We ask that you would shower your love upon them and their families. Now Lord, after you have emptied us, we ask that you would fill us with your love, your joy, your peace. Fill us with patience, longsuffering, kindness, gentleness, and meekness. Fill us with your goodness, self control, and faith. Fill us with power, wisdom, and understanding. Heal our bodies, our mind, our soul, our heart, and our spirits. Fill us until we overflow, but not for ourselves. Fill us so that we can spread your blessings upon those who are around us. Bless us Lord to be a blessing to someone else. Elevate us Lord so that we can pull someone up with us. Empower us so that we can be our brother’s keeper. Give us the wealth so we can help those who are in need and bless your kingdom. Use us Lord, for your glory.
Now Lord, as we lay our heads to sleep. Give us a peaceful rest. Give us dreams and visions. Let all worrying cease tonight. Let all anxiety cease tonight. Let us sleep with smiles on our faces knowing that you are looking down on us, shielding and protecting our homes and families from all hurt, harm, or danger. Let us wake up refreshed, ready for a new day. And we will give you the praise, and we will give you the honor, not just for what you’ve done, but for who you are. You are everything to us, and we are nothing without you. Thank you for hearing us Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
