Do you know what I’m talking about when I speak of the goodness of God? What a beautiful thing that it’s not just at the moment when you’re feeling low, not just when you need Him most, not just when you call on Him, not just when you feel lonely, not just when you are trying to keep your head above water….but in those moments that you didn’t call Him, and He was there. Those times when you didn’t pray, and He was there. Those times when everything was peaches and jolly ranchers, and He was there. It’s that moment when you know that He loves you, but He shows you anyway. You know that He cares, but He shows you anyway. You know that He’ll never leave you, but He still proves Himself. Not just when it’s convenient, not just when you expect Him, but in those times you don’t expect Him. In those times when you’re just driving home from work. Those times when you’re just chilling in the kitchen. Or being a couch potato that He touches your Heart just to say, “I love you”.
Imaginable is the thought of not wanting to embrace His love! A love that never ends, a love that overflows, a love that is overpowering, a love that is more than words can describe…..is there a greater love? NO! There is no greater love. The love that gave His son, the love that forgives, the love that is patient and kind, the love that is never boastful, never proud. A love that…..aww shucks who am I kidding thinking that I can write a post to describe it?
So, to you I say this. I love you. May His peace forever be with you, may His wisdom guide you. May His law bring you to repentance, may His grace and mercy last forever. May He prosper you in His power and might, may He bless you beyond belief. May He watch over you as you slumber, and may He strengthen you for another day. May the peace which passes all understanding guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
