I thank God for that small still voice that gently speaks and guides us day by day, keeping us from hurt, harm, and danger. And am even more grateful for when the voice speaks loudly. For now I keep hearing the Lord say one word, and I feel compelled to apostolicaly speak this into your lives.
It’s simple, and only one word.
RISE!!!!
From the big bishop, to the layman….RISE!!!
Rise – to get up from a lying, sitting, or kneeling posture; assume an upright position:
Some of us have been praying too long. Know that God has heard your cry. But now it’s time for you to get up and start walking in God. It’s time for you to take action; to follow the instructions He has given you in response to your prayer. Listen, you can’t move forward still kneeling asking for God to take you there. The sweet chariot is not going to swing low and carry you! When God lights your path, it is YOU who must walk it. It is not given to the swift now the strong, but he who endures until the end. But you can’t get to the end unless you start walking in God. Rise and walk my brother, my sister.
Rise – to get up from bed, esp. to begin the day after a night’s sleep
Some of us has been asleep for too long, and it’s time to wake up. Wake up to where you are and begin to move to where God wants you to go. God has placed some of us in a rest until His appointed time. When the appointed time comes, we cannot sleep, we must wake up and begin to answer the call of God. In other views, we are sleeping on things that must change in our lives. The very thing that is keeping us from progressing in God; we must wake up and take care of those things. My brother, my sister wake up, and RISE!
Rise – to get up after falling or being thrown down.
Okay, so you’ve taken a fall. Okay, so you slipped this time. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall, and could not be put together again. But we serve a God that can make us whole! Get up!! The devil is throwing his best at you because it is YOU who is destined to bruise his head. You cannot bruise his head with your heel if you are down on the ground. Because of a mistake, it is not over. It’s not over until GOD says it’s over. When you fall, you repent, allow God to forgive you, and get up. Some of us have been laying down for too long waiting for someone to “pity” us up. My brother my sister, it is not time for someone to pity you up, it’s time for you to rise and get up!

Rise – to become active in opposition or resistance; revolt or rebel.
James 4:7 says “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” It is time for some of us to stop rebelling against God, and start rebelling against the enemy. It’s time for us to oppose the things that are not of God. It is time for us to lead a revolt; a revolution against satan. Some of us need to learn from history and start having sit ins, protests, petitions, or whatever is necessary to bring about change in our lives. It’s time for a revolution against the enemy! My brother my sister rise in your opposition against the devil, and watch him flee!
Rise – to be built up, erected, or constructed.
Some of us need to realize that what you are going through is God’s attempt to build you up. To build your character, to build your strength, to build your endurance, to build your patience, to build your integrity! Some of us have been in the background, some of us have been meek and low, some of us have been staying at the bottom, but it is those who are living in humbleness and humility that God shall exalt. The first shall be last and the last shall be first! My brother, my sister, walk in the knowledge that your situation right now is nothing but God building you up to RISE!!!
Rise – to come into action, as a wind or storm
Some of us need our flood gates to open and let the gifts of God flow out of us like a raging storm; like a hurricane! Some of us need to be fierce in our actions. Some of us need to be fierce like the house of Jacob and conquer the land that has been promised to you! It’s there, but my brother my sister, RISE and fight for what is rightfully yours! Don’t try to go and get what the devil has taken from you. Why want something that his hands has been on? Job lost at the hands of satan, but when he got it back, God gave him all new untouched stuff!!!! What God has promised to you, the devil can’t touch, but you must rise, be more than a conqueror, and posses the land!
Rise – to ascend above the horizon, as a heavenly body.
Am I preaching? I don’t mean to preach, I just want to speak a word into your lives. I hear the Spirit of the Lord say, RISE. Jesus hung on the cross, was buried, and rose. Know that He rose so that you too can rise. It’s time for us to rise NOW, so that when He comes, we can rise with Him into our eternal homes, being presented faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy! To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Rise, again I say, rise. I charge you my brother, my sister, my pastor, my apostle, my prophet, my teacher, my evangelist, my missionary, my psalmist, my musician, my tambourine player, my deacon, my trustee, my secretary, my brother or sister that sits quietly in the back row..to the atheist, to the skeptic, and to those are thinking of coming to Christ… to you I say….rise. I love you dearly.
